Animal Diet

Every person who has an animal companion must be concerned about and pay attention to their animal's intake of nutrition and if they are feeding them food that will promote the animal's health. I can tell you a simple gauge as to whether this is happening in your household or not. If your animal companion has allergies, is ill, has a disease of some kind, is hyper, is aggressive, is constipated, has diarhea, itchy, attracting fleas and ticks, etc. I can tell you you probably are not. 75% of all problems can be cured with a good diet. That's how important it is. Think of the magnitude of that statement, think of how much time our animals spend in illness. Think of how easy that can be corrected with a good diet.

So, hopefully your next question is, "Well what do I do? How do I feed them a good diet? How do I know whatever I feed them is a good diet?" If you have the time, your first approach is to study about nutrition for your specific animal and feed the animal as close to what he/she would get if in the wild on their own. That would be the foundation of what you would study about it. And, that would be the ideal in an ideal world. But first, this is not an ideal world and it would be hard for the butcher to go out and kill something everytime someone came into his shop so they could have a fresh kill. And you may be only just now changing the diet after years of dry food. I empathize with your anxiousness here as it is a big issue. The animal's health is dependent upon what you put in his/her mouth and body.

Lisa Newman, N.D., Ph.D states:

"Nutrition is central to holistic animal care. It can often be the deciding factor between emotional wellness, health, and disease. Poor nutrition will quickly lead to an imbalance, cripple the body's curative abilities, and possibly create behavioral problems. Regardless of the amount of attention, drugs, or natural remedies given to dogs, if they are not receiving adequate nutrition, their own curative response is hindered."

One of my services is to help you create a healthy diet for your animal. After years of studying nutrition for animals, I have a good data base which guidance uses to help determine what diet and what food is best for your animal. We can check to see if the food you are giving your animal is the best that can be given for his/her good health. If it is not, we can determine what food and what brand would be the best. We determine whether a raw or cooked diet is needed. We determine whether the dry food you are feeding your animal is a problem. We determine what vitamins or other supplements are needed for your animal at this time in its life. In other words, we create a foundation from food and supplements customized for each animal whether it is ill or not. This foundation will help it become healthier if ill and sustain health if not.

This information is so essential and so important to the good health of your animal, I am offering it as a separate service. Without this good foundation illnesses happen, that's how important it is. Rather than wait to have to visit the vet, or me, or my site when your animal is ill, let's start now, while it's healthy. If it's not healthy at this time, this is certainly the very best time to be sure your animal is consuming the best diet it needs to consume for improved health.

If we have an appointment only to find you are doing all the right things and you need nothing from me, your session is FREE. Otherwise all evaluation sessions are $50.
